Free preview. Full-length exports need a paid plan.
AI takes on the slow parts of a music video. You still decide how it looks, and every choice it makes can be undone.
Capify listens to the vocal and writes out the lyrics with a start and end time for every word. Misheard line? Fix it in the lyrics editor and the captions follow.
It reads the transcript, splits the song into sections with a theme for each, and searches Pexels for clips that fit. Each section gets clips long enough to cover it, placed on the timeline in order.
Type “gold captions and a Halo visualizer behind them” and the project changes. It handles fonts, captions, visualizers, animated backgrounds, footage, overlays and the intro card. It needs a free account.
Capify does not generate video clips from a prompt. What you see is real Pexels footage, your own photos and video, or one of 53 animated backgrounds drawn live from code. No warped faces or melting hands to cut around.
Four steps
Add an MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file. Choose 16:9 for YouTube, or 9:16 for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Capify transcribes the vocals and times every word. Footage picked from those lyrics can fill the background, cut to the sections of the song.
Swap any clip, upload your own footage or cover art, or use one of 53 animated backgrounds. Pick a font and a caption animation, and add a visualizer or effects like grain, rain or bokeh.
Play the whole video back in your browser before anything renders. Export in 1080p, or 4K on Creator Pro.
Most songs already say what the video should look like. A verse about a night drive suggests headlights and empty roads, and a chorus about the sea suggests waves. Capify uses the words of your song as the brief.
Once the lyrics are timed, the song is planned in sections. Each section gets a theme, search terms and a length, and Capify fetches Pexels clips to fill it. A three-minute song ends up with a full background timeline before you touch it.

No clips at all? Pair an animated background with a visualizer. These previews run on the editor’s own renderer, moving with a sample track. There are 17 visualizer styles in all, shown on the audio visualizer page.
Halo and Sunburst leave room at the centre for your single artwork, with the lyrics underneath.
Skyline bars with peak caps that hang and fall, over a background turned up to pulse with the kick.
One filled ribbon that swells and settles with the music. Turn the reactivity down and let the words carry it.
An LED Matrix grid of lights, like a hardware equalizer, with up to 40 columns.
Liquid Orb wobbles and swells with the bass. It suits intros, interludes and slow-building tracks.
Mirror Bars, the style every new project starts with. Thin white bars that read clearly on a phone.
The size for a YouTube upload or a premiere. Tips for titles and Content ID are on the YouTube lyric video maker page.
For TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Switch between the two shapes in the editor.

Independent artists, labels and producers make their release videos on Capify. Some of those songs end up on the global charts.
Capify started as an AI lyric video maker, so the lyrics in your music video are timed word by word. Turn them off for a visuals-only cut, or keep them on and style them with the same fonts and animations.
Yes. Upload the song and Capify transcribes and times the lyrics. It can also pick stock footage that fits those lyrics and lay it along the timeline, so there is a first draft to watch before you touch anything. You then change whatever you want before you export.
No. Capify does not generate video clips from a text prompt. The footage is real stock video from Pexels, your own photos and video, or one of the animated backgrounds, which are drawn live and react to the music. The AI chooses and arranges footage, it does not invent it.
Capify reads the transcribed lyrics, splits the song into sections and gives each one a theme. It turns each theme into searches on Pexels and picks clips long enough to cover that section. If a clip does not fit, swap it for another one or for your own footage.
Yes. All Capify needs is the audio file, in MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG. Lyrics, footage, captions and the visualizer are all built from the song. You do not need to film anything.
You can upload a song, build the video and preview it for free. Exporting the full-length video needs a paid plan. The plans and their prices are listed on this page.
Yes. Upload your own video clips or photos as the background, or mix them with Pexels footage on the same timeline. You can trim, move and split clips, and add images or text on layers above the video.
Song Assistant is a chat panel in the editor. Describe a change in plain words and it edits the project, such as the font and colour of the captions, the visualizer, the animated background, Pexels footage, overlays and the intro card. It needs a free account.
Open the lyric editor and type the right word, or adjust when it starts and ends. The captions update straight away. On a paid plan you can also paste your own lyrics and transcribe again with them.
The clips come from Pexels, whose license allows free use of its photos and videos, including in commercial work. Read the Pexels license page for the full terms before you publish.
Capify exports 16:9 at 1920 × 1080 for YouTube and 9:16 at 1080 × 1920 for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Creator Pro adds 4K. Videos download as MP4.
A lyric video puts the words of the song on screen in time with the vocal. A music video is built around footage or visuals. In Capify they are the same project, so you can make one with lyrics, one without, or both from the same upload.
