A template on Capify is a saved look, made by the Capify team or by you. You try it on your own song before you commit, so you never have to picture placeholder text as your lyrics.
Add an MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file. Capify transcribes the vocals and times every word, with no account needed.
The template picker opens on the video. The one in the middle plays your song with your lyrics, and the cards either side show the next looks.
Pick "Use this template" or press Enter. Nothing is saved until you do. After that every font, colour and background is still yours to edit.
A template swaps the look and leaves your project alone. Your song, lyrics, word timing, the lines you moved and the 16:9 or 9:16 frame all stay put. If a template has its own background, that background is stretched to the length of your song.
The first card in the picker on a new song is Custom, plain text on a photo, for when you would rather start from nothing.
