Words that land on the vocal
27 of the styles follow single words, so the timing has to be right. Capify’s AI times each word, and the lyrics editor shows those words as blocks you can drag. Slow playback to 40% to place a fast verse.
Trusted by 100,000+ artists
Upload a track and Capify times every word of the vocal. Pick one of 42 lyric animations, such as a soft blur, a typewriter or 3D kinetic type, and the lyrics move in time with the vocal.
Free preview. Full-length exports need a paid plan.

This is the grid from the editor’s Text & Font dialog, playing the same three sample lines in every style. Tap one to see it large at the top of the page.
The animations sit in seven tabs in the editor. 36 of them are motion styles, and the six classic caption animations are still there.
The caption animations Capify started with. All of them except Line by line follow each word as it is sung.
The whole line arrives when it starts. Blurs, letter staircases and cross-fades, good for slower songs.
Each word lands on the vocal and the line builds up around it. New videos start on Word stream.
Kinetic typography proper. Letters spin and reshape, type bends on tilted planes, and Rush fires one word at a time.
Scrambles, RGB splits and a liquid shader. Typewriter types each word out with a blinking cursor.
Stop-motion handwriting and taped paper stickers, for a lo-fi or scrapbook look.
The whole song runs past on one strip, flat or tilted in 3D, with each word filling in as it is sung.
Four steps
Add an MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file. Capify transcribes the vocals and times every word, which is what the word-by-word animations follow.
Open Text & Font and go to the Animation tab. Swipe through all 42 styles on your own background, or scroll down to the grid to watch them side by side.
Change the typeface, size, case and text colour. Some styles add a colour of their own, such as the scramble in Matrix decode or the trail behind Rush.
Play it back and fix any word the AI misheard in the lyric editor. Export 1080p in 16:9 or 9:16. Creator Pro adds 4K.

Pick a line on the timeline and give it its own animation, font or colour. A drop can hit in RGB glitch while the verses stay in Fade up. Everything else keeps the video’s style.
Put the lyrics over cover art, your own footage or one of 53 animated backgrounds that react to the music. You can add a music visualizer under the words too.

Independent artists, labels and producers make their release videos on Capify. Some of those songs end up on the global charts.
AI does the slow part, writing out the lyrics and timing each word to the vocal. You choose the animation, font, colours and background, and you can change any word before you export. To see everything else Capify does, start with the AI lyric video maker.
A video where the words of a song move on screen in time with the vocal. Lines can blur in, letters can climb up one by one, or each word can land as it is sung.
Upload your song to Capify and it writes out the lyrics with a time for every word. Open Text & Font, pick one of the 42 animations on the Animation tab, set the font and colour, and export. You can preview the whole video in your browser before you export.
Kinetic typography means type whose movement is part of the design, beyond a simple fade on and off. In Capify the Kinetic & 3D family is the clearest example. Morph reshapes one lyric into the next, Mesh warp bends the line on every word, and Extrude pop pushes the lyric out of the screen on a 3D body.
Yes. Capify times every word with AI, and the word-by-word styles use those times, so a word appears, pops or fills in when it is sung. The reveal styles move a whole line at once when it starts. If a word lands early or late, drag its edge in the lyric editor.
You can upload a song, try every animation and preview the video for free. Exporting the full-length video needs a paid plan. The plans and prices are on this page.
Yes. Select a line on the timeline and edit its style to give it its own animation, font or colour, for example a chorus in Rush and verses in Soft blur in. Marquee and Perspective marquee draw the whole song on one strip, so they apply to the whole video only.
No. The animations are built in and already timed to your song, so there is no template to buy or keyframe to set. Capify runs in the browser and exports an MP4. If you want to finish the video in another editor, import that file.
Yes. Every animation uses your font, size, case, text colour and shadow, with a few exceptions. Stretch in always draws in Anton, and Handwrite switches to Caveat when you pick it, which you can change back. Styles like Highlight, Perspective squeeze and Extrude pop have a second colour you can set.
For short vertical clips, artists tend to pick aesthetic, a tight lowercase block that fills in word by word, or Word stream, Rush and Paper sticker. Switch the video to 9:16 before you export. The lyrics editor page covers how to fix the words and timing for an edit.
Yes. The previews run sample lyrics through the same caption renderer that draws your export, so the motion, spacing and timing match. Your font, colours and background will change the look.
Yes. Upload footage or a photo as the background in Visuals, or use one of the 53 animated backgrounds. The lyrics animate on top and you can drag them anywhere in the frame.
